which is more reliable the clinical judgement of a doctor or an investigation??

Its been a while since I wanted to write about this thought.

i do encounter this thought during my day to day practice as a doctor.i cant help but

 think,are we moving in the right direction, by relying more on investigations than on 

one’s clinical judgement???

During my present practice am I somehow making people do more investigations than 

required????

It’s been a consistent allegation against modern medicine practitioners for quite some 

time now 

I just wanted to evaluate this allegation truthfully, as a general practitioner, based on 

my day to day practice.
